St. Paul's Building Program
Frequently Asked Questions
Q I haven't heard anything about our building renovations. What's happening?
We have hired a builder, Cumby & Sons. Bill Cumby has been working with our architect, George Yu to prepare final plans for our approval.
Q Has the increase in fuel costs changed the proposed cost of our renovations?
Yes, of course it has. Materials and transportation of materials will be more expensive.
Q Will we have enough money to proceed? How much money was pledged for the project?
During our campaign, we said we needed between $750,000 and $1,000,000. We received pledges of about $740,000, leaving us short of our minimum by $10,000.
Q Can we still pledge or change our pledge?
The answer is yes to both. Pledge cards are available on the Communications Table across from the parlor.
You can also pledge online. Just email the church office at stpaulsoffice@comcast.net. Mark your email "Building Pledge", and tell us how much you are willing to give. If we have an earlier pledge on record, we will change it to the new amount.
Q Pledges are important for planning purposes, but are we receiving the dollars we need? Are we on target?
To date we have received about 1/3 of the total amount pledged. This means we are on target. However, you are correct in assuming we need more pledges and more gifts.
Q I rarely use my checkbook anymore. Can I contribute electronically or through my credit card?
You can currently make contributions using a debit card. (Just email us the amount and your debit card number. We'll take care of the rest.) We are setting up an electronic option through PayPal. Watch our Web Site and Sunday Bulletin for updates.
