Stewardship Committee

It’s not too late to sign up for Call Me Once 2008. 

 

March 9^th was Call Me Once Sunday at St. Paul’s when almost 100 persons completed a Call Me Once form and handed it in to be called once for a desired area of work.  Those forms will remain in the church Narthex for a while so  anyone desiring to sign up may still do so. 

 

Just as a refresher, anyone who completes a form will be put in our data base of people and aligned with a work area so that when a volunteer need arises in that area, the people who signed up will be called once to help out.  No strings attached!  No long term commitments.  No telemarketers will call!  Thanks to everyone who volunteered this year.

 

Coming in April is our annual Care of Creation ministry.  This year your Stewardship Committee is planning a two part program: one that begins in April and another element in the fall. 

 

The April portion consists of a Personal Commitment to Energy and Climate Action.  This form consists of ten ways you, as an individual, can help care for God’s creation.  Suggestions range from turning out lights in empty rooms, to reading a book on saving energy. Check out the forms in the narthex and see what practical and easy things you can do.

 

Then, coming in the fall, we’re planning a family oriented program that emphasizes raising our awareness of issues around Care of Creation.  It will involve both the children and adult Sunday Schools.  Stayed tuned for that.
