Fun-loving adults, 21 and older, who enjoy informal conversation and lots of laughter are invited to the Delaware Saengerbund, located at 49 Salem Church Road in Newark, on Wednesday, October at 7:00 PM.


St. Paul’s Older Wiser Lutherans will explore the Delaware History Museum, located at 504 N. Market Street in Wilmington, on Friday, October 13. Discover Delaware and the Journey to Freedom from the 1600s to the present. Carpool from the church at 1:45 PM or meet at the museum entrance at 2:30 PM. Cost: $8 for seniors; $10 for adults. Dinner on your own will follow at Big Fish Grill, located at 720 Justison Street on the Wilmington Riverfront. Explore the Chestnut Trail on the Judge Morris Estate on Sunday, October 22. Carpool from the church parking lot right after the service, at approximately 11:15 AM and join in covering about 3.5 miles (about 90 minutes) of the White Clay State Park. Parking passes are required; pay kiosks are available as needed. Please bring a light snack and/or beverage as you desire. Hiking poles are suggested because there are some gentle hills and some tree roots along the unpaved but mostly hard pack, single track path.
