Middle School Youth

St. Paul’s Junior High Youth group is for youth who are in grades 5th through 8th grade. During the typical school year these youth are divided up by the 5th & 6th grade Sunday School Class and the 7th & 8th grade Confirmation Class.

Outside of the weekly Sunday sessions, the Junior High strive to get together as a combined group once a month. No matter what we do we have a fun time, great fellowship and make wonderful friendships.  The group’s community activities include but are not limited to the annual LCS walk/run for the hungry, Thanksgiving Food Baskets for the needed, lunch and hygiene kits for the Empowerment Center, Christmas Caroling to local nursing homes and shut-ins, Easter Party for children age 3 through 4 grade, and Confirmation Dinner.  The Junior High Youth are also willing and able to give time as acolytes, crucifiers and lay readers during weekly church services. This group also participates in the yearly DE/MD Synod weekend retreat called FreeRide. FreeRide takes place in October at the NorthBay Retreat Center in Northeast, Maryland and gives the youth an opportunity to get together with other youth from our synod to worship, have fun and make new connections. We do get time to have fun as a group with pool parties, bonfires, lock-ins, bowling and skating parties to name a few.

All 5th through 8th graders are welcome to participate in the fun and fellowship of this group. Please contact the Mandy Sulek (faithformation1@comcast.net) if you would like additional information or more information on our next event.
