♫ MUSIC in the Christian assembly ♫

Music is from God…God creates music as part of the whole creation and gives it to humankind to develop and shape.

Sound and rhythm are primal forces in creation. “God saw everything that he had made, and indeed, it was very good.” (Genesis 1:31) “When I laid the foundation of the earth…the morning stars sang together and all the heavenly beings shouted for joy.” (Job 38:4, 7)

God’s gift of music is received and shaped by people in many varieties and forms, which have an important and delightful place in the worship of God.

The choir serves the assembly…Choirs lead, teach and proclaim within the assembly.

Choirs may be large or small, may meet regularly or occasionally, and may include adults, youth, or children in various combinations.
