Hilltop Lutheran Neighborhood Center

Thanksgiving Basket Sunday

Nov. 22nd

We may no longer be worshiping in person, but next Sunday, November 22, remains Thanksgiving Basket Sunday. Please bring your frozen turkeys, boxed mashed potatoes/stuffing, canned vegetables, cranberry sauce, gravy, and the fixings for pumpkin pies to the Fellowship Hall between 9 and 11 a.m. for delivery at Hilltop. This year especially, we are also accepting cash donations. We STRONGLY urge you to make a monetary donation through our web site: https://tithe.ly/give_new/www/#/tithely/give-one-time/259807 and we’ll do your shopping for you! Thank you. P.S. we also need cardboard boxes for the baskets on November 22.

Hilltop Christmas List

In the midst of the COVID pandemic, Christmas will be tough for many families this year. The hardship is especially troublesome in the Hilltop area of Wilmington where the economy is always tough.  However, there is hope.  The Hilltop Lutheran Neighborhood Center is once again collecting Christmas gifts for some of the needy children who attend the Center.  What’s unusual is the number of requested gifts is a bit higher than normal. So we who have been blessed with so much are being asked to dig a little deeper this year and see if we can’t help where help is needed so much.  Clothing items are also included for each child.  Please click on the SignUpGenius button above to review the list and sign up to share God’s bounty with other.  Then purchase your new items, wrap them, place the name of the child on the gift, and bring it to church between 10 and 11 a.m. on Sunday, December 20.  Your generous contributions will be taken to the Center for you.
Thank you!
